Indicina LLC is a privately-held health informatics firm, based in Austin, TX, which provides consulting and data validation expertise on health information systems and exchanges, as well as interoperability and standards that impact clinical quality and population health metrics. Currently, Indicina specializes in National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS®) compliance audits for public and private clients performed through strategic partnerships with quality improvement organizations and health data validation companies. In addition, Indicina collaborates with clients on the design, implementation, and validation of information systems that utilize the FHIR R4 data standards framework to enable the secure and timely exchange of high quality clinical and administrative data.

The firm’s lead consultant, Michael E Campbell, has over 25 years of experience working with healthcare organizations, including health plans, health information technology vendors, state Medicaid agencies, and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). He obtained his certification as a HEDIS® Compliance Auditor in 1998 and his certification as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) in 2010. In 2023, Mr. Campbell received his FHIR® Proficient designation from HL7. Michael holds a master’s degree in Health Policy from Duke University and a master’s degree in Information Systems from Boston University.
